Using Customized Error Pages
Ever wanted to use a php instead of default shtml for your error pages on your server? In this tutorial I'll show you how to define a webpage as your error page.
To do this you will need to edit or make .htaccess file at the root of your website. Then you have to define what file you want to be used as one of the error pages.
For example if you want to define 404 error page to use a file called 404error.php you have to add this line to your .htaccess file and put the 404error.php at the root of your website:
ErrorDocument 404 /404.php
An example of a .httaccess with common error pages:
ErrorDocument 400 /400error.php
ErrorDocument 401 /401error.php
ErrorDocument 403 /403error.php
ErrorDocument 404 /404error.php
ErrorDocument 500 /500error.php
